Julian Thomas, Distinguished Professor at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), shares a historical perspective on platforms and why it is important towards understanding their influence in society and markets today. Julian was speaking on a Platform Futures panel discussion Mobile Ecosystems: Opportunities and Challenges in the Asia-Pacific hosted by Digital Asia Hub on June 9.
Through a new program on Platform Futures, the Digital Asia Hub convenes a network of academics and experts studying multiple aspects of platforms, and to create a space for dialogue on opportunities, challenges, and governance best practices in the APAC context.
